A Note from the Pastor

I am regularly asked, what are your services like? My response: a casual worship setting using hymns and praise songs to help us focus on our study of God’s Word. While the Bible is our only text, we are not tied to a single translation. On any given Sunday you may see suits, jeans, dresses and shorts. We are a family; each uniquely different; loving one another.

While Sunday morning is the primary opportunity for worship and fellowship, it really begins the Wednesday evening before. That’s when we gather to pray for the church and our community.

Through the years the Lord has chosen to bless and challenge this church through missions. Currently we support ten families including one chosen from among us to serve at the Black Forest Academy in Kandern, Germany.

All of this is possible only because of the finished work of Jesus Christ; whose death, burial and resurrection proves He is who He says He is, God’s Son and our Saviour. We strive to celebrate this truth every Sunday and practice it every day of the week.

Everything we do here at WLBC is designed to glorify Him; encourage and challenge one another; that we might one day hear, “well done, good and faithful servant.”

Looking for a church home? Visiting in the area? Wondering what church is all about? Come visit. We’d love to meet you.
